It’s time to face facts. Summer is done, and it ain’t coming back, no matter how much your Uncle Harry insists that wearing shorts right through to December is a normal thing to do.

This doesn’t have to be a negative thing though, because you’ve just remembered that autumn (or fall, for our American friends) is a pretty awesome time of year in its own right! The colors on the trees are beautiful, the temperatures are a little more bearable and Smeet City is less jam-packed with pesky tourists. Happy days!

To celebrate this stunning time of year, the City Arts Council is organizing an exhibition they’re calling the ‘Great Autumn Gallery’. Super-talented and creative local artists have been asked to take part, and it looks like all that lying on your CV about your time working as ‘curator of fine art’ has paid off because your name has somehow sneaked onto the list too! This could get interesting…

There’s a combination of materials and processes you need to collect and go through in order to produce some true autumn magic. Grab the glue, leaf baskets and painting tools and get to work in the sketchbook and on the work table! Don’t worry if you feel out of your depth – there are also some actual established artists that can help you along too! There are three canvasses to get to work on initially, but if you work well there are three more available from the Shop to add to the collection!
